Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

The Journal of Waste to Value System (JWVS) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of all users, authors, reviewers, and readers who interact with the journal website and editorial management systems.
1. Data Collection and Use
We collect personal information (names, email addresses, affiliations, ORCID IDs) only when voluntarily provided, typically during:
- Manuscript submission
- Peer review processes
- Editorial communication
- Account creation, subscription, or registration
Collected information is used exclusively for editorial and operational purposes and will not be used for unrelated activities without explicit consent.
2. Confidentiality
All personal data and manuscript-related information are handled with strict confidentiality. Data will only be shared in the following limited circumstances:
- With the explicit consent of the individual
- When required by law
- During ethical investigations in accordance with COPE guidelines
3. Reviewer Anonymity
In alignment with JWVS's double-blind peer review policy, reviewer identities are strictly confidential and not disclosed to authors or unauthorized parties.
4. Data Retention
Personal data is securely stored and retained only as long as necessary to fulfill editorial, administrative, or legal obligations. Users may request correction or deletion of their data by contacting the editorial office.
5. Website Security
The JWVS website uses industry-standard security technologies and protocols to protect personal and manuscript data from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure.
6. Third-Party Services
JWVS may use trusted third-party services for manuscript management, plagiarism screening, indexing, or analytics. These services comply with recognized data protection regulations (including GDPR where applicable).
