Ethical Guidelines

Academic and Publication Ethics

JWVS upholds high academic and publication ethics. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  • The submission is original and free from plagiarism.
  • All listed authors have made significant contributions.
  • Conflicts of interest are properly disclosed.
  • Ethical approval has been obtained for studies involving human or animal subjects (where applicable).

All submissions are checked using standard plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts involving unethical conduct will be rejected.

JWVS does not permit listing Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard, image generators) as authors. Authors may use such tools only for:

  • Language editing
  • Structural assistance
  • Figure generation

Such use must be disclosed (e.g., in acknowledgments or methodology). Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of their work.

Publication Ethics

JWVS adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to follow COPE guidelines in cases of:

  • Research misconduct
  • Plagiarism
  • Data fabrication
  • Conflict of interest disputes

Peer Review Policy

All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review to ensure quality, originality, and relevance.

  • Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts.
  • Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise and absence of conflicts of interest.
  • Identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.
  • Authors can expect reviewer feedback within 4–6 weeks of submission.
